A weekend orientation of Doha
We will officially begin our time in Qatar on August 13. To help prepare for the move, Georgetown sent us on an orientation tour of the country. We left the U.S. on Thursday, July 14, flew to Qatar, spent 3 whirlwind days in Qatar, and then returned to the U.S. on Tuesday. This is just some of what we saw....

There is no shortage of American food places...we forgot to take a picture of the many Starbucks (and much to my surprise, they were filled with Qataris!).

This is the new building in Education City. It houses a number of different programs, and this is where Georgetown's classrooms are currently under construction.

This is the Four Seasons Hotel where we stayed during the orientation tour.

These are the temporary offices of Georgetown University.
Our new living room (brand new everything!). And remote-controlled air conditioning and 800 channels. Quite a change after having no cable for 3 years.
