An average day...

We are having a digital camera problem (namely, it's broken) so sorry there are no recent visual updates.

I think the most frequently asked question is "What's an average day like for you?" Mike has been very busy at work, usually the driver comes a little after 8am and then he gets home after 6pm, often later.

For me, life has taken a dramatic turn. I own a cell phone (yikes!!). I wake up and make Mike breakfast. When he leaves I either go back to bed (rare) or start laundry. Our washing machine is incredibly small so it generally requires doing at least a load each day. Then I usually go shopping for food or other household stuff. Sometime during the day I fit in a couple brief swimming sessions. I clean and organize the house. I cook dinner (I'm not very good but trying - please send me any easy/good recipes if you have them!). I make a zillion phone calls to find out about jobs, Arabic classes, volunteer activities, etc. It's somewhat frustrating though because it appears the whole country is on vacation until September, and nobody has voice mail, so phone calls are somewhat fruitless at this point. I usually study my Arabic books for about an hour, but it's somewhat hard with little instruction at my low level. It probably sounds uneventful, but I feel like I am pretty busy and running around all day! I have no idea how I actually had a job before this and managed to stay sane :)
